Reader's Digest decided to create an article about stamp design, and turned to APS Education Coordinator Kathleen Edwards for help.
"10 of the Most Stunning Stamp Designs Over the Past 50 Years" lists some fantastic designs. Some are from the engraved and glued era, others are from the present-day peel and stick variety.
As Kathleen told the author:
“The most stunning stamps depend upon who you ask. The American Philatelic Society is made up of 28,000 members from around the globe and includes affiliates and chapters. Stamp technology has certainly changed over the last 50 years and the variety of which we are pleased as variety opens the door to the hobby. If there’s an interest, there’s a stamp for it.”
Members of the American Philatelic Society may agree or disagree with the choices.
If you have any thoughts about this article, please go to the APS Facebook page, where we would enjoy hearing from you!
