If you’ve delved into the April issue of The American Philatelist, you’ll know that the APS is taking steps to grow both our organization and the hobby, from launching new publications like StampEd to embarking on a journey to revolutionize philatelic education. And with spring officially here, our dedication to growth has kicked into overdrive!
Now, we know what day we’re writing this, but we promise it’s no joke: in April, the APS is sowing seeds to grow the hobby and giving away “seed packets” of stamps to new members! That’s right – if you join the APS in April (at the introductory price of just $25.50 for U.S.-based members through the end of 2024), you’ll receive a free packet of worldwide stamps to grow your collection.
Don’t collect worldwide? Pay it forward! You never know whose day will be made by receiving some stamps; give your packet to friends, family, or a brand-new acquaintance, and help us spread the hobby this month and beyond.
While we’re on the subject, don’t forget that when you refer new members and tell them to name you as a sponsor on their application, you’ll receive a $5 credit to use toward next year’s dues – and if you sponsor five or more new APS members, you’ll get a year of APS membership absolutely free! You can learn more about how to recruit and the benefits for existing members here.
And if your APS Chapter has members who aren’t also APS members, now’s the time to get them on board – if just three members of your club join the APS in April, we’ll send your club a box of assorted stamps to grow your collections or to share with prospective members.
