Planning is well underway for the Great American Stamp Show, scheduled for August 25-28 at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, CA. Be sure to save the date.

A few reminders:

• Dealer booths are available – the heart of the show is our dealers offering to buy and sell stamps. Currently we have 64 dealers signed up with 87 booths. We have room for more – so don’t hesitate to sign up today!  
  
  
• Cachetmakers Bourse – attendees can discover the fun of First Day Cover (FDC) collecting on Saturday Aug. 27^th from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. For cachetmakers, this is a great opportunity to present your cachets before hundreds of collectors – we have tables left if you wish to sign up. 
  
  
• Exhibit Entries – literature and philatelic entries are being accepted until May 15, 2022. The entries received so far are now posted on our site and updated weekly here. 
  
  
• Function Tickets – are now available for the Annual APS /APRL, AFDCS and ATA Celebration Banquet on August 27th, where we present top exhibit and lifetime achievement awards. Get your celebration banquet ticket early and consider attending the pre-show learning event – Essays and Proofs on Aug. 24 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (click here for course details). 
  
  
• Pre-Register to avoid standing in line – fill out this on-line form so that a pre-made name badge will be ready for pick up at the registration desk when you arrive at the show.
  
  
• Make your hotel arrangements – our host hotel is the Sheraton Grand Sacramento offering rooms at $150/night (plus tax). The hotel is a short walk across the street from the convention center and a few miles from Sacramento International Airport. • Public Auction – Schuyler Rumsey Philatelic Auctions will host a multi-session public auction each day of the show which will include a sale of the remainder of Bob Mason’s revenue collection. Visit the auction page for more information. 

• First Day Ceremony and New Stamp Sales – the United States Postal Service will be releasing the Pony Cars pane of 20 forever stamps on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 11:00 a.m. and will be hosting a sales area with plans to feature cars from the local California Auto Museum. • Special/Rare Exhibits – don't miss your chance to see the Federal Duck Stamp Art Exhibit as well as three of America's most noteworthy postal items! 
  
  
• Meet world renowned stamp designer Chris Calle – Chris creates the official APS show cachet each year and provides autographs at the APS booth.
  
  
• Meetings and Seminars – there will be 100+ meetings and seminars throughout the four day event. A full schedule with room numbers will be available as we get closer to the show, however you can see a preliminary schedule here.
  
  
• Youth Area – provides kids a place to learn about stamp collecting, play games and pick up items for their stamp collections – all for free.
