Wednesday, June 8, June 15, and June 22, 2022 from 1-2 p.m.
Course Description: When the imperforate Penny Black was released in 1840 (as well as a number of subsequent issues all over the world), no one had given much thought as to how stamps could be separated for use.
Now we have almost universal die-cut stamps, with nothing holding them together other than the backing paper. How did we get here and why? Don’t miss this glimpse into the history and methods of stamp separation, as well as a tour of related errors, freaks and oddities.
Intended Audience (who should attend): Collectors of all levels, ranging from semi-beginners to advanced specialists
