How will understanding common Spanish terms and phrases help me to
make sense of Spanish reference literature and catalogs?
Course Description:
Explore Argentina with your very own tour guide as you expand your knowledge of international philately. During this survey course, “The Complete History of Argentina (abridged)”, you will learn about the land, people, and culture through the illustrations found on postage stamps. Your odyssey will include provincial issues from Corrientes and Córdoba; philately of Buenos Aires, the Argentine Confederation and República Argentina. Not to be forgotten on your tour: the 1892 commemorative, watermarks, air mails, Zepplins, 1930 revolution, Evita, oficiales, Antarctica, topicals, and more. When your trip concludes, you will be able to make sense of terms and phrases found on stamps issued by Spanish-speaking countries and in catalogs devoted to them.
