The American Philatelic Society Board of Directors selects Schaumburg, Illinois, as the site of the 2025 Great American Stamp Show. The annual show will be held at the Schaumburg Convention Center from August 14-17, 2025. The show hotel for the show will be the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, a Marriott property directly connected to the convention center. The convention center and hotel are located approximately 18 miles from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Schaumburg was selected over Las Vegas after polling APS dealers showed greater support for Schaumburg.
The APS Board also approved a bye for 2026 and designated Boston 2026 as the location for the annual APS meeting under Section 4.1 of the APS Bylaws. Boston 2026 World Stamp Show will be the 12th International Philatelic Exhibition hosted in the United States. The show will be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from May 23-30, 2026, to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary). As part of the planning for Boston 2026, the APS plans to host the annual Benjamin and Naomi Wishnietsky Champion of Champions competition during the event. The Champion of Champions is the most notable exhibiting competition in the United States, selecting among the grand award winners in the World Series of Philately.
For 2023, the APS, American Topical Association, and American First Day Cover Society will jointly host the Great American Stamp Show at Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, from August 10-13, 2023. The show is sponsored by the United States Postal Service and features dealers, societies, competitive exhibits, and educational talks. The USPS and Posta Faroe Islands will feature two first-day ceremonies each on Thursday and Friday of the show. Additionally, work is in progress for a first-day release by the Marshall Islands and the United Nations Postal Administration, with more details coming soon.
